Celebrating The Winners of The Mo Issa Exclusive Collection Giveaway

I wrote about the power of reading a while back. I said that “fewer people read these days, but I honestly feel that reading is one of the few non-digital gifts we can still enjoy. We can’t allow the fast pace of modern life to paralyze us, locking us into a robotic, linear lifestyle enslaved by technology and an instant gratification mindset.

Reading is a superpower.

The benefits of reading in my latter years have been twofold. Reading has not only made me a better person, but has also taught me to be more mindful and intentional about everything I do.”

While promoting The Shift, a giveaway was organized for our audience on the blog as well as on Mo Issa Facebook page. The entries were massive and the interactions were interesting as our readers on Facebook tagged their friends who loved reading as much as they did.

Our four winners Joyce, Samuel, Isaac and Aurelia are all avid readers. They expressed their excitement at their wins.

Joyce Sackitey discovered the Mo Issa blog in The Daily Graphic and has since then followed his blog and Facebook posts. Like the other winners she loves to read since childhood and she loves to lose herself especially in the words of John Grisham, Sidney Sheldon and Danielle Steel. Joyce loves sightseeing, travelling for leisure and dancing. She resonates with Mo Issa’s blog especially the articles on authenticity; she believes one needs to find whose one true self is and proudly become that. She loves to journal and is especially delighted the collection included a journal.

Samuel Tinagyei is an optometrist, author, speaker and entrepreneur. He loves reading books of all genres, his favorites are science fiction, motivational, self-help, Christian and action. He was thrilled to win and admitted that he was crazy about books and he had cultivated the habit of reading every day as well as carrying a book with him everywhere he goes.

Isaac Baah Nti is an entrepreneur who runs his chemical shop in Accra. He loves to delve into books in his spare time and has an affinity for religious and self-help guides. Isaac’s favourite book is Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki and Sharon Lechter.

Aurelia Deku is another ardent reader whose love for books began when she was in Primary School. Her position as a library prefect in the secondary school gave her the perfect opportunity to access to more books. She believes that through the art of reading she can sit at one place and visit anywhere in the world. Aurelia loves fiction, her all-time favourite being Paulo Coelho’s The Alchemist.
