As the dense mistiness enveloped me,
I used to write to release myself
from your clutches.
As the fogginess slowly lifted,
I write to reel you in,
Like the old man in the sea.
I don’t want you disappearing
into thin air
taken by the winds
to some faraway place.
I don’t want your memory
to slip out of my mind
like how the flight of a seagull
fades into the distant horizon.
Forgive my musings and my words
as they may permeate your heart
just as your picture
still, invades mine.
